The 8 Reasons Why Tom Del Beccaro Is Supporting Steve Hilton
and Why Hilton is a key to passing Voter ID
California is in the throes of a very interesting Election year, inclusive of a race for Governor, a Voter ID initiative and a so-called tax on billionaires, which tax will become a tax on the middle class over time if it passes.
The success of the Voter ID Initiative requires a strong turnout of voters, which requires a Republican to be represented on the Fall Ballot in the Governor’s race. My choice is Steve Hilton.
Here are my 8 reasons why.
1. Broad Knowledge Base. Steve Hilton sought me out, long before he announced his candidacy was announced. In my conversation with him, we spoke about a wide range of topics. He described his decision-making process to me, what issues mattered to him, those who were helping him on policy and solutions he thought would help California.
His wide-ranging knowledge of California policy, and his proposed solutions, made it clear to me he is not a one or two issue candidate by any stretch.
2. Policy Solutions. Steve Hilton is the principal of Golden Together. That is a policy group that has been focused on solutions for California for years.
As a candidate for Governor, Hilton’s plans address the key issues faced by the state with detailed, thoughtful and government reducing plans.
As someone who ran, in 2016, on a Flat Tax, I strongly support Hilton’s flat tax plans. California has been chasing productive people out of the state for years. We need the State to become competitive again with common sense tax policy.
He has also been a leader on exposing California fraud and on energy policy. His comprehensive proposed policies can be accessed here.
3. Brings great minds together. Hilton has access to and bring great minds together. I know many of his advisors and they demonstrate to me his willingness to bring experts from across the spectrum together to solve problems. You can see some of them by clicking here.
Overall, Hilton has the ability to bring people to help California from around the country. That will be necessary as Governor.
4. Media. Any Republican that wins must be able to gather and leverage public support for policy changes in the face of the Democrat majorities in the legislature. To do that, a strong background in media and public relations will be necessary. Steve Hilton is by far the best candidate for that role.
5. Fundraising. California is a giant state with 17 media markets. In politics, money matters. Hilton has proven to be the best Republican fundraiser by a 2 -1 wide margin.
6. Polling. Hilton has consistently been at the top of the polls. In California’s ludicrous Top 2 primary system, that matters.
7. Energy. During this campaign, Hilton has demonstrated the relentless energy necessary to deal with this large state. I also like his energy plans for the state.
8. Stays the Course. In my time, I have seen plenty of candidates who start out with strong views and then moderate them into mush as they run for office. Hilton has not done that. He is out there passionately supporting his views without being muzzled by consultants. He also has been unafraid to take Newsom.
Those are my 8 reasons. Please join me in supporting Steve Hilton for Governor of California.
Please share this message with your California friends.
ps: Notice how I did not bash any other candidate.
That is not my style. I had Republicans spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to lie about me when I ran for U.S. Senate to help their candidate.
No thanks. California Republicans need to come together if they want to make a difference.
