Today’s Socialist Won’t Be Good Enough for Tomorrow’s Socialist
In history, socialism becomes a spiraling rush
The Government shut down is over but the political infighting is just beginning – on the Democrat side. In keeping with the history of parties infected with socialism, no matter what yesterday’s socialist or big government proponent did for the cause, that is not good enough for the current socialists, let alone tomorrow’s.
In history, the run up to class warfare/high tax/redistributionist policies we associate with socialism becomes a spiraling rush. Examples include the last century of the Roman Republic and the end of the ancient Greek democracy.
As for the United States, you have often heard that JFK could not get elected in today’s Democrat Party. Today’s Democrat Party would never vote for an across-the-board tax rate reduction.
You don’t have to go that far back in time, however, to prove the point.
Consider Joe Biden, who did everything his party demanded.
He signed the biggest spending bill in history.
The trillion dollar so-called Inflation reduction Act was promoted as “lower[ing] health care costs for Americans by extending the expanded Affordable Care Act subsidies,” and “the largest investment in climate action and clean energy in world history.”
Biden appointed many far-left judges. He also appointed “63 Black federal judges, the most of a presidency of any length.”
You would think the Democrats would be celebrating him after all he did for their cause – but you would be wrong. This NBC headline says it all: “Can Democrats blame their problems all on Biden?”
Now consider Chuck Schumer.
He defeated a Republican to take over one of New York’s U.S. Senate seats. His reelection victories twice hit 70%.
In 2016, he was unanimously elected Democratic leader after securing big Democratic gains in the Senate in the 2006 and 2008 elections as the Chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. His voting record gives him a “Strong Dem” rating with the Progressive Left and an “A” rating.
Are Democrats celebrating him?
No.
Why? Because he couldn’t keep the government shutdown going – even though Democrats called it a Republican shutdown.
As a result, we find that “Angry Democrats call on Schumer to resign after eight vote to end shutdown.”
As for the 8 Senate Democrats who voted to end the government shutdown, “Furious Democrats are set to train their fire far beyond the eight Senate Democrats who cut a deal to end the shutdown, directing their frustration into defeating establishment-leaning candidates in primaries across the country.”
Those 8 included Illinois’ Dick Durbin with a lifetime liberal voting record. The others are not as liberal as Schumer and may well be cast aside in the years ahead.
Now consider New York. The Mayor-elect Mamdani is arguably the most far Left politician ever elected to a major office. During the campaign, he was endorsed by New York’s liberal Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul. That helped Mamdani win – but that is not good enough.
Before Mamdani is even in office, New York State’s far-Left Senator Jabari Brisport is demanding support for Mamdani’s agenda. He recently threatened Hochul by stating that “I just want you to know, Kathy Hochul, if you get a third strike, you’re out.”
Keep in mind that the party activists most often drive the direction of their party.
Today, the most liberal wing of the Democrat party believes the party is not liberal enough. That wing nearly nominated Socialist Bernie Sanders in 2020 until party elites blocked his nomination. That wing is celebrating the victory of the socialist/communist Mamdani in New York and will back AOC’s impending victory over Schumer in 2028.
Altogether, much to the dismay of Democrat consultants for years gone by, like James Carville and Doug Schoen, today’s Democrat Party is in a rush to the socialist Left. In the process, yesterday’s hero will soon be forgotten because their views just aren’t liberal enough. In their place could well be a rush of socialist candidates to come.

People don’t want everything free. But fair affordable, safe and sane utilities, corporate rental management, landlords rental laws, transportation and let’s figure out how to get plastics out of the water and air.
Love the water.
Wow. I still want to know how this guy was even allowed to become a naturalized citizen, win an office in the NY state legislature and the big question is: who is voting in NY elections? Are they as corrupt as they are in California?
